Seems like peace is breaking out all over the place at the moment.
The interesting thing is that companies are using the 'Unconscious
Permission' that Twitter seems to offer to do things like this. This is
the first evidence I have seen of this sort of brand as a sentient
personable entity playing with conversations on Twitter that are really
significant due to the players involved. Brilliant. Sort of 'cold war thaw'.
And, of course there is no real reason why it should just stop at
companies, products, services and the brands associated with them.
It's really quite heartening when you think of the possibilities.
Well done Amnesia for spotting and facilitating it ;)
Alternatively, with my cynical hat on, it could just be that they feel they
should - otherwise there could be negative brand associations
permeating at velocity through social networks which is suddenly a
PR issue.
Interesting and one to watch with other brands either forced to say
hello or just to acknowledge the 'other'. I love the Google one at the
end too :)
Feels like this is the beginning of something. I hope so.
